SMS Terms
Last updated and effective:
These terms apply to anyone who receives texts from the AdjusterHQ claim text messages program, operated by The Fifth Division Inc. For AdjusterHQ customers, they also form part of our Terms of Service.
1. Program description
AdjusterHQ claim text messages are transactional text messages that AdjusterHQ sends to policyholders and claimants about their own open insurance claim, when that claim is handled by an insurance adjusting firm that uses AdjusterHQ. Messages cover:
- inspection scheduling and reminders;
- requests for photos or documents; and
- status updates on the claim.
We never send marketing or promotional messages through this program. It is available for U.S. mobile numbers only.
Every message begins with “AdjusterHQ:”. The adjusting firm handling your claim may be named in the message so that you know which claim it is about.
2. How you opt in
- Your adjuster asks for your permission and reads you this statement:
“We use AdjusterHQ, a claims platform, to send text updates about your claim, such as inspection scheduling, requests for photos or documents, and status updates. May AdjusterHQ text you about your claim? Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Terms: adjusterhq.com/sms-terms. Privacy: adjusterhq.com/privacy. If you agree, you will get a text asking you to reply YES to confirm.”
- If you agree, the adjuster records your consent in AdjusterHQ, together with the date, the time and who recorded it.
- AdjusterHQ then sends you one text asking you to reply YES to confirm. Nothing else is sent until you reply YES.
Text messages are optional. If you do not agree, your adjuster can contact you in other ways.
3. Message frequency and cost
- Message frequency varies, depending on the activity on your claim.
- Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
4. Opting out and getting help
- Reply STOP to opt out. STOP opts you out of all AdjusterHQ texts. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further texts after that, even if an adjuster records your consent again. Opt-outs are enforced by the mobile carrier network, so only you can reverse one.
- Reply HELP for help. We will reply with our contact information.
- To start receiving texts again after opting out, reply START or UNSTOP.
5. Support
For help with this program, contact us at support@adjusterhq.com. For questions about your claim itself, contact the adjusting firm named in the message.
6. Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your mobile number and consent records. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
